(COVINGTON, La.) — This season has been a great one for the Rugby Wolves, who in only their second year remained undefeated throughout the season and finished number 1 in the Deep South region and number 17 in the nation.

Going undefeated in a season in any sport is very challenging.

“It is really crazy. It is most of our guys first year playing,” senior Declan Moennich said. “I played and I had no imagination that we could beat all of these teams that have had programs for years.”

It is a great feeling for most players to be a part of an undefeated team.

“The feeling of going undefeated is one not commonly experienced. I am grateful for the chance our school’s team has been given,” senior William Munn said.

The Wolves played in the La./Deep South Cup Final Championship last Saturday afternoon, when they  played and beat  Shaw at Pan American Stadium 11-10 in overtime kicks.
