Wolves to Face Covington in District Opener Friday

Coming off a win of against McDonogh 35, the St. Paul’s Wolves will face the Covington Lions this week in both teams’ district 6-5A opener. The Lions will enter the game 3-0 with wins over Parkview Baptist, Franklinton, and Higgins. The wolves stand at 1-2 with losses to John Curtis and Lincoln (Florida) and a win over McDonogh 35. Last year, the Wolves defeated Covington 31-7 at Covington.

This year, the Lions travel to Hunter Stadium to face the Wolves. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21. The ninth grade and junior varsity Wolves will also play Covington this week on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Jack Salter Stadium. The freshmen begin at 5:30 p.m. with junior varsity to follow. The freshmen and junior varsity are both coming off wins over Franklinton.
