Aquawolves Dive into New Season

The St. Paul’s Aquawolves have recently started an excellent season and have already competed at a few meets at various schools in the area.

“We swam like champions this week, winning with humility and handling defeat with grace,” Aquawolves Head Coach Bill Babcock stated about the week of Sept. 10 through Sept. 15.

According to Babcock, on Sept. 13, the Aquawolves competed in a meet against Fountainebleau High School and “impressively” won eight of eleven events. Students Robert Klazynski, Jack Dubreuil, Jacob Elliot, Kevin Nelson, Griffin Guzan, Max Morvant, Nicholas Sibley, and Sam Nuss all scored significant points for SPS.

Since there is no longer a pool on the SPS campus, the Aquawolves practice at Kehoe France School in Covington’s River Forest subdivision, minutes away from St. Paul’s.

Babcock noted that the Aquawolves have had an “exponential” past few weeks and hope to complete their season in an exemplary fashion.
