The St. Paul’s Marching Wolves will hold the third annual St. Paul’s Car Show on Saturday, May 4. The car show will be held in the parking lot of WOW Café and Wingery on Highway 190 in Covington. The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. and will be free to spectators and car enthusiasts alike.

“This is a wonderful free spectator event,” said Band Booster President Bennett Miller. “There are some beautiful cars on display and if anyone can come by and see the love and care the owners put into these cars they will be impressed! If you are a car buff, this is the place for you to be May 4.”

In past years, the St. Paul’s Car Show took place in an SPS campus parking lot. “The venue was moved to WOW for more exposure due to high traffic area,” said Miller.”We hope to have a good increase in the number of cars this year due to the high visibility. Last year we had around 50 entries.”

The location for this year’s car show is generously being donated by the Ballard Family, who founded WOW Café and Wingery and had several members of their family attend St. Paul’s School. “It was very generous of WOW to let us use the parking lot, and we are very grateful for their offer,” said Miller. A portion of the restaurant’s proceeds earned during the event will also be donated to the Marching Wolves.

Each year, the fundraising event is spearheaded by Keith and Donna Lange and operated by the St. Paul’s Band Boosters. “All funds collected in the event go into the general fund of the Band Boosters and is used to maintain the instruments, uniforms and maintenance of the Marching Wolves,” said Miller. The event also provides funds to the Golden Blues dance team.
