(Covington, La.) — On Saturday, Dec. 6, the St. Paul’s Marching Wolves traveled to Madisonville to march in the annual Christmas parade held there. People from across the area came out to watch the parade go by, with the band giving it a little bit more culture and flavor.

The band marched in the cold, damp December weather while playing all their classic music like “Big Chief” and “Do What You Wanna.” Even with the cold weather putting a damper on things, the crowd’s spirits were not tarnished at all.

“The beautiful scenery made up for the less than stellar weather conditions,” said Marching Wolves percussionist Nick Ashton.

A few spectators followed the parade through to the end. The Marching Wolves have marched in the half mile long parade for several years now. It winds throughout old Madisonville and features mini floats decorated with Christmas decor, complete with Santa Claus and elves. Madisonville locals also rode in buggies and other unique vehicles along with the parade route.
