The Twenty One Pilots are an alternative style duo from Columbus, Ohio, made up of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun. They started playing music in 2009 and haven’t stopped since. They have four albums, “Twenty-One Pilots” (2009), “Regional At Best” (2011), “Vessel” (2013), and “Blurryface” (2015). They’ve been nominated for multiple MTV Video Music Awards and Alternative Press Music Awards. Their music is hard to characterize at times due to their uncommon style and approach. The music they create really makes you think and they are a great listen.

Arctic Monkeys
Arctic Monkeys are an Indie rock group from Sheffield, England. They originated in 2002 and are a four-man group consisting of Alex Turner (lead vocals), Matt Helders (drums), Jamie Cook (lead guitar), and Nick O’Malley (bass). They have released five albums: “Whatever People Say I Am”, “That’s What I’m Not” (2006), “Favourite Worst Nightmare” (2007), “Humbug” (2009), “Suck It and See” (2011), and “Am” (2011). Their debut album is the fastest selling debut album in British chart history, and in 2013, Rolling Stone ranked it the 30th greatest debut album of all time. The Arctic Monkeys are known as one of the first bands to gain popularity through the internet.

Muse
Muse is an alternative rock band out of Teignmouth, England. Matthew Bellamy (lead vocals), Christopher Wolstenholme (bass), and Dominic Howard (drums) established the the group in 1994. The band is known for their energetic sound and performances. Muse has released seven albums: “Showbiz” (1999), “Origin of Symmetry (2001), Absolution (2003), Black Holes and Revelations (2006), The Resistance (2009), The 2nd Law (2012), and Drones (2015). Muse has won multiple awards including a Grammy Award for Best Rock Award for The Resistance. Their style switches from a heavy, deeper meaning to an often mellow sound.

The Black Keys
Dan Auerbach (vocals, guitar) and Patrick Carney (drums) form the indie rock rock duo known as The Black Keys from Akron, Ohio. Auerbach and Carney began creating music together in 2001. Together, they have created a total of eight amazing albums consisting of “The Big Come Up” (2002), “Thickfreakness” (2003), “Rubber Factory” (2004), “Magic Potion” (2006), “Attack & Release” (2008), “Brothers” (2010), “El Camino” (2011), and “Turn Blue” (2014). El Camino reached the number two spot on the Billboard 200 chart and its single “Lonely Boy” won three Grammy Awards. Their music is extremely enjoyable and will put you in a great mood.

Vance Joy, or James Keogh, is a 27-year-old singer-songwriter from Melbourne, Australia. Vance Joy has been creating amazing music since 2013. He released his first EP, “God Loves You When You’re Dancing,” in 2013. His single “Riptide” was voted number one on the Triple J Hottest 100, and in 2014, he dropped his first album, “Dream Your Life Away.” His music is down-to-earth and relaxed with a new style.
