St. Paul’s School will host its annual Open House in anticipation for the 2016-2017 school year on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at 1 p.m. Prospective students will hear from administrators of the school and department chairs of the curriculum they will be involved with for all five years of school, and they will also gain the student perspective from a variety of current SPS students.
One feature of the day will be the speeches given by current students about their personal St. Paul’s experience. After the speeches are concluded, the students will tour the school, led by Student Hosts who will provide commentary throughout campus.
A selection of student activities will be present to represent the diverse culture of the school’s extracurricular programs. The infamous St. Paul’s Marching Wolves will play for the students throughout the day. In addition, the Marian Players will be holding rehearsal for their fall production of “The Outsiders” in the Alumni Memorial Theatre, which will be open to the prospective students during the tours. A sampling of student art will also be present to showcase the creativity and talent of the St. Paul’s art program.
No registration is necessary to attend; the event is open all prospective students and their parents and begins at 1 p.m. in the school’s Briggs Assembly Center, located on Jefferson Ave. on the west side of campus, across from the tennis courts. Since the event includes campus tours, the administration advises attendees to plan for the possibility of walking campus in inclement weather.
