2021 Football Wolves Preview

Schedule for 2021 Wolves Football Season

After an unprecedented year of football, – due to the Covid-19 virus – the Football Wolves are looking to contend for a state title.

Experience will be the key this year as they are returning players such as senior quarterback, Grant Billson and senior wide receiver, Brody Reina. Grant led the team to a 4-4 record last season, and star wide receiver Brody Renia recently committed to Davidson to continue his football career. Defensively, the team returns players such as Senior linebacker, Danny Sears, and Senior defensive back, Daniel Doufor. The team also adds a key defensive piece with transfer student, Justin Washington.

Senior right tackle, Hayes Creel, had this to say about the team, “our chemistry is really good this year, which will be important if we want to compete for a state championship.”

The Wolves will face John Curtis in a scrimmage at 5:30 pm on August 18th at Hunter Stadium. The first game of the season will be against the Rummel Red Raiders on August 27 at 6 pm at Hunter Stadium. Overall, expectations are high this season, but there’s no reason the Wolves won’t meet those goals. The Wolves are one of the most talented teams in the state, and combining that with the experience of the roster is certainly a recipe for a state title.
