As a fast food advocate, I have been tasked with the difficult challenge of ranking the top 5 fast food restaurants. 

Food has always had a huge part in my heart (and my stomach). Even though it is unhealthy, fast food plays a huge part in our society. If you do not have any food, and you are feeling hungry, you can make a quick stop at any of these five restaurants and be extremely pleased.

My fifth favorite fast food restaurant is Popeye’s.

Popeye’s has some of the best chicken sandwiches you will ever eat. The two most popular food items are the regular chicken sandwiches, and my personal favorite, the spicy chicken sandwich. I am a strong believer that in order for a fast food restaurant that specializes in chicken to be great, it must have great fries. Popeye’s always has hot, crispy, cajun fries, which always top off a phenomenal chicken sandwich. The reason it isn’t any higher on the list is because if Popeye’s wasn’t selling chicken sandwiches, then I would not eat there. 

The fourth best fast food restaurant is Wendy’s.

Wendy’s has great burgers, chicken nuggets, and frosties. Wendy’s recently modified its fries to be hot and crispy, and if you don’t get them like that, then you return them to get a different, fresher carton. Wendy’s has a variety of food items, but the reason it isn’t any higher is because the customer service is usually sub par.

The third best fast food restaurant is also the best place to order pizza, Dominos.

When ordering Dominos online, you are able to see when the order is placed, when the chefs are preparing it, when they are baking it, when they are boxing it up, and when they are on their way. The pizzas from Dominos almost always get to your house quickly, and they are still warm. As you can see, the customer service is outstanding, but the pizza is even better. Dominos has just about any topping you can think of, and you can even customize the crust. 

The second best fast food restaurant is Raising Cane’s.

With another chicken-themed company, Raising Cane’s has arguably the most iconic menu item of all time, the box combo. The box combo has amazing chicken tenders, steaming texas toast, crinkle-cut fries, and the widely popular canes sauce. Cane’s is the best fast food restaurant in terms of providing a full meal in one simple box. Their customer service is outstanding, and they make everything on the spot.

The best fast food restaurant is Chick-fil-a, and personally, I do not think it is even close.

Chick-fil-a has the greatest customer service I have ever seen. The servers famously say, “My pleasure,” to every thank you. Chick-fil-a has amazing chicken biscuits, sandwiches, and nuggets. They also have the most underrated milkshakes of any fast food restaurant. Chick-fil-a has waffle fries that are always great, and the Chick-fil-a sauce is breathtaking.

“From the environment to the food, it has been and will continue to be my favorite fast food restaurant,” claimed Saint Paul’s junior, Aidan Hayes.

The most popular complaint about Chick-fil-a is that it’s not open on Sunday. However, Sunday is a day of rest.

My honorable mentions include Five Guys, Sonic, Starbucks, and McDonald’s.
