The German adult-inspired festival made its triumphant return with multiple different contests, traditions, food, and live entertainment. On Saturday, October 15, some activities ranged from best costume to best chicken dance to a stein-holding competition to axe throwing.
Brother Ray, FSC described seeing “people dusted off their dirndl dress, laundered their lederhosen, and joined us for an EPIC day of stein slurping with their best mates!”

There was also a silent auction. Prizes included braces from Brown Family Orthodontics, a Voodoo fishing charter, various art pieces, graduation tickets, and a lot more.
With more than a hundred people in attendance, most were pleased with the beautiful, cool weather, and that Saint Paul’s had a TV with the LSU game on. More importantly, LSU won, which caused the German celebration to pop.
This event was hosted under the Wolf Dome, which made excellent acoustics for alumnus Briggs Cooper (class of 2022) to perform live music. Most enjoyed seeing Cooper again, especially Mitch Harrell, a Saint Paul’s freshman, who said, “I enjoyed seeing so many teachers and speaking with them outside the classroom. I also enjoyed listening to my former band brother Briggs perform a great concert. If I were asked to attend again, I would go in a heartbeat.”
