French soccer star Kylian Mbappé transferred to one of the biggest soccer clubs in the world, Real Madrid.
Real Madrid announced the signing of Kylian Mbappe after waiting many years for him to join the club. While he initially could not transfer until his contract with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) expired, Mbappe called the move “a dream come true.” “I’m so happy and proud to join the club of my dream,” said Mbappé.

Mbappe joined the club on a five-year, $16.2 million contract with a $150 million signing bonus. Now, he is third on Forbes’ world’s highest-paid athletes list and is regarded as one of the best soccer players in the world.
Mbappé made his debut in his first official match and exceeded all expectations. On August 14, 2024, in the 2024 UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta, he scored his second goal of a 2–0 win.
Kylian said he felt “no pressure” performing at Real Madrid.
“I was looking forward to scoring in this legendary stadium, the best in the world, but the most important thing was the win,” said Mbappe.
Many believe this is a great addition to this world-class team because he can make this attack electric. He will play alongside arguably the fastest and most talented winger, Vinicius Junior, and the youngster Rodrygo Silva de Goes.
Saint Paul’s sophomore soccer player, Owen Dannels-Smith, loves the move. “Mbappe is arguably the best player in the world and is going to succeed at arguably the best team in the world, Real Madrid. These two will mesh perfectly and be a joy to watch for years,” said Dannels-Smith.
However, other soccer players believe that Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid is highlighting some of his weaknesses.
“We also see Mbappe’s technical limitations,” said Mbappe’s former teammate Christophe Dugarry. “We know that he is not in the top 10 most technical players. And today, his limitations are obvious with a player like Vinicius next to him.”
The level of play between these two is obvious, and it is obvious who is progressing faster, but Mbappe has plenty of time to work on this.
Before his slow start to the season at Madrid, Mbappé worked to become the captain of his previous team, Paris Saint-Germain. The club’s top scorer with 255 goals, Mbappe won six Ligue 1 titles out of seven seasons.
Hopefully, Mbappe will play to his full potential at Real Madrid, and he can bring what he brought to Paris Saint-Germain.
