Tonight, the St. Paul’s Wolves and Slidell High Tigers will face off in a District 6-5A matchup and the regular season home finale for the Wolves. The Lions are 3-2 on the season (1-1 in District 6-5A), and the Wolves are 6-1 (2-0 in District 6-5A).
The Tigers are coming off of a 38-0 loss to Mandeville. The Tigers are led on offense by quarterback Wayne Griffin and running back Kyron Smith. Through week six, Griffin had 763 passing yards and three touchdowns, and Smith had 407 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns.
Last week, the Wolves traveled to Pontchatoula to take on the Pontchatoula High Green Wave, winning a double-overtime thriller 41-38 on a touchdown pass from Kenny Sears to Briggs Simpson.
Sophomore running back Corey Williamson led the Wolves offensively, scoring three touchdowns.
