Three Rivers Art Festival Promises Local Art, Culture

Luc is Dumb and should leave

The Covington Three Rivers Art Festival returns to Columbia St. in downtown Covington, with over 200 booths featuring art from 28 states from around the country, on Nov. 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Admission is free for both days, and the event caters to all ages from the youngest member of a family to the oldest. Children will be able to participate at the Children’s Discovery Area where a stage will be set up as well as various activity tents.

The over 200 tents will feature the usual paintings, sculptures, and photography in addition to handmade toys, glass products, and even bird houses. No art medium is left out of the city’s day of art and culture. Nearly 30 St. Paul’s students are participating in the art competitions for local students. These works are visible at the Center of Preforming Arts at the corner of Columbia St. and Rutland St.

Volunteers are greatly needed for the event and are encouraged to email  info@threeriversartfestival.com or call Sarada Bonnett at (985) 789-7183.
