(GONZALES, La.) This weekend, The Flambeau Fest will make its debut with headliners like Sam Hunt, Hank Williams Jr., and Lynyrd Skynyrd performing on the Ascension Fields at the Lamar Dixon Center in Gonzales.

“This is a first year festival,” Gina Addison, the wife of festival co-founder David Addison, said, “and it is planned for every October going forward.”

The festival will feature three stages: the Torch Stage, the Main Stage, and the Songwriters’ Tent. The respective stages will separate artists into three groups.

“The Torch Stage goes live at noon on Saturday and Sunday.  It will have local and regional artists performing on it,” Gina Addison said. “In addition, we have the Songwriters Tent which will host some of the best and biggest songwriters out of Nashville. It will be also go live at noon.  The Main Stage will begin at approximately 4:00 each day.”

Also, the festival will offer a wide range of cuisine and beverages from the region’s top vendors. This will include tasting from local breweries, distilleries, and wineries.

Two-day general admissions tickets cost $149 and include access to both days of the festival. VIP and VIP platinum tickets will cost $319 and $679, respectively. Also, one-day general admission tickets are now on sale for $85. All tickets can be bought electronically through the FlambeauFest.com.

The conception for this festival dates back two years after producers Mark Miller, Eddie Pearce, and David Addison strived for a way to rekindle an area of Southern Louisiana that has not seen the launch of a large-scale music event since the Baton Rouge flood of 2016.

David and Gina Addison are also the parents of two St. Paul’s students, junior Grant Addison and freshman Andrew Addison. In support of SPS, the couple has donated six general admission tickets that The Paper Wolf will be giving away through its social media accounts. Click below for details.
