(EVERYWHERE) Unless you have been living under a rock, you probably know that “Fortnite” released its fourth season of content on Monday (May 1), just in time to siphon students’ interest away from studying for exams. The season 4 content includes a buyable battle pass that gives access to 80+ cosmetic items, new locations on the map, and of course, the impact of the overbearing comet from Season 3.
“I called in sick today to get a head start on that season 4 grind,” one St. Paul’s eighth grader actually admitted. “It’s important for me to reach tier 100 before my friends, so I had to put school on the back-burner for now.”
Season 4 features a superhero theme, with multiple skins and cosmetics acting the part. The theme capitalizes on the release of “Avengers: Infinity War,” utilizing the the hype and anticipation of one of the biggest movie releases of the year to increase sales of their battle pass.
People are exited to begin their journey to tier 100 to unlock the Omega skin, but many are not aware of how tough that actually is. Fortnite says it will take about 60-70 hours to unlock the full battle pass depending on how try-hard you are. No matter how you look at it, that is a lot of time, so here are some tips to maximize your grind time: **
- Do all your homework in Religion class.
- Drop all extra curricular activities.
- Isolate yourself from society.
- Push any N.F.P.s away (non-Fortnite players).
- stock up on Red Bull.
- If you are not doing your homework in Religion, at least be playing Fortnite on your phone.
**(Do not follow these tips, this is terrible advice and a joke. Make sure to pay attention in all of your classes and not isolate yourself from society. There will still be time to grind.)*
