During the 2018-2019 school year multiple St. Paul’s sports teams succeeded at the district and state level, with the Spring Season being no exception.
Golf:
The Golf Wolves are the district, Northshore League, and regional champions this year. In fact, they were only six shots away from winning the state championship.
Tennis:
The tennis team went undefeated in the district. They competed for the regional championship and qualified all five lines to go to state. They were able to win through the third round. In the end, the Tennis Wolves placed fourth out of sixteen teams.
Lacrosse:
The 2019 Lacrosse Wolves finished the regular season 14-0, including a 3-0 showing in the Memphis Lacrosse Weekend, 4-0 in district play, and a 24-10 victory over the defending State Champions, crowning the team as State Champions. They are District Champions for the third season in a row.
Baseball:
The Baseball Wolves did extremely well this year with a record of 27-6, including their victory at the state championship. They had six players on first team go all-District.
Track and Field:
The Varsity Track Wolves won first place in every meet except one. They earned top honors in The Ponchatoula High School Invitational, The PHS Relays, The Allie Smith Invitational, The FHS Bulldog Classic and claimed their 6th St. Tammany Parish Title and 7th District 6-5A title in the last 8 years.
Rugby:
The Rugby Wolves consists of mainly freshman, so they do not have a varsity team yet. With that being said they did extraordinarily well by going undefeated in Louisiana and only losing one game to a team in Texas. The team won the State Championship game.
