
(ORLANDO) — The Saints had a franchise record nine players selected to this year’s Pro Bowl. While the AFC won 38-33, Saints fans got to see Drew Brees, Michael Thomas, Demario Davis, Cameron Jordan, Jared Cook, Marshon Lattimore, Ryan Ramczyk, Terron Armstead, and Deonte Harris play a little longer this season.

Three of these players stood out. Brees was given the starting spot by veteran quarterback, Russell Wilson. Brees threw for 95 yards and a touchdown on four completions. Cook caught three passes for 84 yards which was one of the top performances in the game. Thomas was also at the top in receiving with his 92 yards and touchdown on five catches.
The recently added Skills Showdown provided excitement for viewers outside of the Pro Bowl game. The events include dodge ball, thread the needle, gridiron gauntlet, best hands, and precision passing. Cam Jordan was selected as one of the NFC’s ten captains for the games. The AFC won the Skills Showdown with Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry pulling off a comeback in the last round of dodge ball.
Raven quarterback Lamar Jackson was named offensive MVP of the game and Calais Campbell of the Jacksonville Jaguars was MVP for defense. Jackson threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Campbell, a 6 feet 8 inches defensive end, racked up a sack and a solo tackle with limited play time.
The best players on the NFC were Kirk Cousins and Za’Darius Smith. Cousins, Vikings quarterback, tossed 181 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. The Packer’s outside linebacker, Smith, forced an interception and two sacks.
