(COVINGTON, La.) — The 2020-2021 basketball season took a group effort from all the coaches, players, parents, and administrations, and now, they are being recognized.
St. Paul’s Stephen Dale was awarded the Clarion Herald’s Coach of the Year Award. In his fifth year as head coach of the Basketball Wolves, the team finished 13-1 in district and was crowned district champions. Overall, the Wolves finished with a record of 26-8 and advanced to the Division 1 semi-finals where their season was abruptly ended with a heartbreaking loss to St. Augustine.
Additionally, the Wolves had two players named to the Clarion Herald’s 2021 Elite Boys Basketball Team. Junior Zach Fenn and senior Evan Seichsnaydre were deemed to be two of the best 11 players in the 11 archdiocesan schools. Along with earning this title, Seichsnaydre scored over 1,000 points over his St. Paul’s career, joining only a select few other Wolves in history.
