Shane Kennedy

The Wolf of the Week for this week is senior, Shane Kennedy. Shane is Vice President of the 2014 class and is a member of Youth and Government, a club run by American History teacher Kim Gardner. He is well liked by his classmates and has many friends at St. Paul’s. Here are some more facts about Shane.

  • After graduation, he wants to continue his school work at LSU and graduate with a business degree then go to graduate school at SMU.
  • His favorite place he’s ever been is The Bahamas, but if he could visit anywhere in the world, it would be Italy.
  • If he could travel in time either forwards or backwards, he would go into the past to the late 1960’s to see Woodstock and to see the whole cultural movement.
  • Shane poses before a dance with two of his classmates, Zach Allbright and David Conroy.

If he could be any superhero, he would be The Amazing Spider because he loves Spidey’s ability to climb on walls and shoot webbing from his web shooters.

  • His favorite movie is the 2000 horror movie, “American Psycho.”
  • The new HBO drama, “True Detective,” is Shane’s favorite television show.
  • The childhood game, Pokemon, is his favorite video game.
  • For Lent, Shane wanted to give up shaving, but for obvious reasons (it’s against school policy) he could not do that, so he just goes to the gym more often.
  • Shane plays the guitar and plays golf.
  • His favorite quote is from Kurt Vonnegut: “True terror is to wake up one morning and discover that your high school class is running the country.”
  • He attended Boys State, which according to their website is a program in which students learn rights, privileges, and responsibilities of franchised citizens. The training is objective and centers on the structure of city, county, and state government.
