Last year’s Homecoming Queen Madison Meyers with her date Connor Simon
Homecoming week is a big event at Saint Paul’s and a busy one too! We have some big things going on this week, including Homecoming King and Queen announcement, field days, dress-down themes, and the big homecoming football game against Slidell. Saint Paul’s Student Council is excited to put on some of these different activities and is even more excited to see school spirit skyrocket.
Being voted Homecoming Queen is a big deal, and we are excited to announce that Brooke Brandau has won this year! We also give applause to the Junior and Senior courts. The Junior Court includes Abbey Nastasi, Annabella Jones, Bailey Vanas, Allie Robison, and Caroline Del Rio. The Senior Court includes Chloe Chehardy, Presley Lang, and Austil May. “I was honored and thankful to be voted homecoming queen by the Saint Paul’s student body. I have always supported Saint Paul’s as a cheerleader, and I am looking forward to representing Saint Paul’s at the game this Friday as the homecoming queen,” says Brooke Brandau. Saint Paul’s encourages involvement, and we cannot wait to see these students presented.
Field Days are also a massive part of what makes Homecoming week so fun. Student Council has spent much time organizing and planning these days to ensure everyone has a good time. 8th grade field day was on Friday, September 17th. All of the students had fun spending their afternoon on the field! This week’s schedule for field days was Freshman on Monday, Sophomores on Tuesday, Juniors on Wednesday, and Seniors on Thursday. Saint Paul’s field days are some of the best, offering an abundance of games, including corn hole, spike ball, frisbee, football, and soccer. We hope that everyone enjoys their field days this week!
Monday’s theme was the U.S.A, so we hope to see the students wearing their most patriotic clothes. Tuesday’s theme was Tropical Tuesday, so get your Hawaiian shirts out. Wednesday’s them was Twinsday Wednesday so match with a friend. Thursday’s them is Jersey Thursday. Last but not least, Friday’s theme is Blue and Gold to show your spirit towards the Saint Paul’s football team. We are excited to see what everyone comes up with!
Saint Paul’s Football takes on Slidell football Friday at 7 P.M. After our good win last Friday; we are ready to take another win against Slidell this Friday. The football team has been working hard and has had much practice leading up to this game. Here is what varsity receiver Jack Salvaggio has to say about the upcoming game, “It’s a big district game and we’ve been preparing well. I think we’re ready to roll as a team and start off district play with a win.” We hope to see everyone in the stands to cheer on the Wolves!
Saint Paul’s has a plethora of fun activities ahead for our students and cannot wait to host the Homecoming dances on October 2nd for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors and the Eighth and Ninth-grade dance on October 9th. Go Wolves!
